Bannockburn, Scotland

The two days that changed Scotland forever, 23rd & 24th June, 1314. Louise and I walking the grounds where Robert The Bruce secured his Kingship, having routed Edward II’s army with odds of 8,000 vs 20,000.

These very grounds I gaze upon; so lush and green and once red with the blood of my ancestors. Yes, Braveheart has been one of my Top 5 Movies of all time and today was the day where I got to experience the feeling.

I literally had tingles looking over the fields where it all happened 700 years ago. There was a point in time where tears just started falling from my face, it was the most surreal experience.
