New House
by Mike250 on April 22nd, 2003 in Family
This last Thursday Jenifer and I, (and the boys), travelled with our realtor Dave MacLaird from Bayfield Realty to look at some houses. After visiting and inspecting the first home on our list that day, Jenifer and I were sold. The house is a great 3 bedroom home with everything we need. Decently spacious but not huge, it will easily serve it’s purpose of being our first home. The yard is fantastic, perfect for the boys and a dog or two. We don’t have the dog, but that will surely come in due time. Here are the details of the house. I have uploaded some photo’s to give you an idea of what the house is like. MLS# 71672 Property Features From our perspective, the house is a fabulous 3 bedroom home with a good floor plan. The front door opens to the living room, with the dining room on the left. From the dining room you enter the kitchen, with new cupboards, a spacious fridge, range oven and dishwasher. No microwave. The dining room also has an exit to the 1-car garage. Inside the garage are the new water heater and heater/air. Back to the living room, a walk in robe, ceiling fan and huge window are the standout features. Entering the hallway, to the left is a laundry room/utility/closet room. To the immediate right is bedroom 3. Bedroom 3 is 11×9 and has a WIR. Further down the hallway, the first bathroom is on the left, and at the end, on the right is bedroom 2. It is 11×10. At the end of the hallway is a linen closet. To the left is the Master bedroom, with a 1/2 bath. The Master bedroom has a lovely window that looks over the patio. I could then probably talk for hours about how great the yard is. Almost 1/4 acre, fully fenced that shares across half the front yard and full backyard. In the backyard is a shed with power, and good storage space. The fence is mostly new chain link fence, and there is evidence a dog lived here previously. A goal of ours is to get the boys a dog. The back fence shares with a farm, so it is quiet and peaceful. The house lives at the end of a col-de-sac, no traffic. Nevan loves the house, and especially the yard, and the cows grazing off in another paddock in the distance. We should be closing on May 28th, and leaving our apartment on May 31 as our lease expires June 1. If all goes to plan, the timing will be emaculate.
