Copying photos escapades
Saturday was productive because we went into town to do some Australia trip stuff. I always like it when I have a productive day, even at home. I bought some nice leather bound type photo albums, and started going through all our photos to build albums for my mum, dad and my brother. We’ve got 2 boxes full, many doubles, and many I doubt that we’ll ever put into our own albums. So my goal was to get “rid” of as many photos as possible. I mean, we weren’t giving them bad photos, but I was very picky to make sure the really good ones stayed with us, unless we had doubles. If we had doubles, I was trying to distribute them evenly across the 3 albums.
But a funny story first. I am very bad
We took two recent professionally done photos to Walmart to make copies on their Kodak Scanner center. I ignored the copyright warnings and all that, but when we went to buy them the clerk asked me if they were professionally taken. I said they were mine. He then asked for the originals, and when looking at the first photo, which was Nevan’s school picture, he saw the logo on the back and said “I can’t let you have these”. I’m thinking, like you really care mate. I even said, “These are going to my family overseas.” It was a pitiful effort. Haha. But luckily on the 2nd one, which was his football photo, the photographer must have been semi-professional or amateur, because there was no logo or anything suggesting it was done professionally. I remember the guy having nice digital equipment, but he probably got them developed at Walmart himself
So we got away with that one, phew! How bad are we? Okay me, I take all the blame
Jenifer’s mum has an awesome digital camera and is pretty good at taking pictures of pictures. So we’re going to try that. We’ve got some old, really good photos from Olan Mills that we can no longer get copies made, as they’re a couple years old, so I don’t feel *that* bad making copies of them for my family. They’re such great photos of us! I want my family to see them. Yeah, I am ranting and raving trying to justify myself…
Then we went to Dunlaps and found some awesome luggage on sale. We got 4 pieces, a large one for our main stuff, and then the next size down Nevan claimed ownership of and the next size down from that Liam claimed ownership of. And there’s one smaller one, the size of a carry on that we’ll use as a carry on. It was cool watching me wheel the big one through the store and my two boys wheeling their own luggage through the store behind me to go and pay for them. Too funny!
What else. Watched football with some friends yesterday. I had really wanted to do stuff around the house but succumbed to lazing around instead.

Dont feel bad…damn i hate this you cant copy your own pictures..how dare they…they dont own me or my family …so just give them thefour letter word.
Haha, thanks for the support mate.
If we ever do time together, I will remember your kindness and get you a free cheeseburger… (see The Longest Yard – Adam Sandler)
