Nevan’s First T-Ball Game

On Monday Nevan had his first ever T-Ball practice. It worked out a bit weird because we apparently didn’t know which team he was on, so we just showed up at 6pm and he got in practice with a team that was there. I had asked Jenifer to make sure she’d get on the phone later and sort out who he is playing for. While he was practicing the co-ordinator showed up with her kids (also playing T-Ball) and we got the details squared away.

Nevan was disappointed when his 45 minute practice was over, because he wanted to keep playing. He was the fortunate one when his real team showed up for their scheduled 7pm practice. So he got back to back practices and went home a happy lad.

Nevan swings hard and long

Nevan’s first actual T-Ball game was yesterday. He’s playing for the team “Crush”, they wear orange and he just loves his jersey and new ball cap. While the other kids hit the tee and the ball flops to the ground, or manage to hit a grounder to somewhere in the infield (while about 7 fielders all fight over the ball) Nevan steps up and actually clears the infield with a fly ball that takes some time for little legs to retrieve. It was awesome to say the least.

Yeah, that was my boy; you parents watching and wondering where he got his batting prowess… ;)

Ha ha! We just signed my boy up for T-Ball this season. He’s having a blast. I love the way almost the entire team chases down the flyballs :)
