March 14th, 2009
This year the company I work for had an additional project at the US Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Our software was to be used on the Concessions side of the tournament; they have been using our software for 10 years prior on the Retail side. I was heading up the project alongside Matt (a co-worker) and teaming up with the NCR Retail Division. Now I am not a golf nut by any stretch, but my dad was and much of my family are. I spent many Saturday’s as a boy as my dad’s caddie; I picked up an

The big surprise
February 17th, 2009
![]() When Jenifer got word that her brother Jesse was getting married we knew we had to get her over to the States for the second time in a year. For a second wedding in a year. The previous was Josiah and Sarah’s wedding, the timing on that occasion wasn’t good for a family trip so Jenifer and Hayden went alone. There’s rainforest behind me, clear blue skies overhead and best of all – rich ocean view ahead of me. This is the middle of winter and my IM-Cool-o-Weather-Meter says it’s currently 22°C. That’s a sterling 71°F and right alongside the current temperature in California. Though I haven’t sat cross-legged like this in a long time. My knees are starting to hurt.

Optus is India?
June 20th, 2007
I’ve had to call Optus quite a lot lately. First to actually establish phone and DSL service. I liked their plans and pricing and the fact that bundling gives you triple the standard cap. The 7GB cap becomes 21GB when using their phone service. Or something like that. I have no bloody idea how much I use because I am used to paying next to nothing for broadband with no limits in the USA.
