I am Australian. Jenifer is American. I first met Jenifer in Yahoo! Chat. I was going to James Cook University in Australia, and came across this thing called the Internet and a 'Chat Room'. My best friend, Robert Hayes introduced me to the Internet and chatting. I saw Jenifer's chat name 'Canyonland' and virtually fell in love with her chat name. I followed her and told her I loved her chat name. Well over the next few months we basically said "Hi" and "Bye" when we were online, until one day I felt an overwhelming love for her. And I needed to tell her. Well I did, and Jenifer went away on holiday, to pray about it. She did not have a passionate love for me. When she came back, she did :) I cannot explain how she did not love me, but only a short time later she had fell in love with me.
Recently before, Jenifer had led me to the Lord. I had some family deaths, and my parents were divorcing. I wasn't feeling too good with my life. Jenifer was a bright spot in my life, and I just loved talking to her.
We began to chat a lot, write letters and talk on the phone. We received each others photo's and found out we were both also physically attracted to each other. This went on for quite a few months, and after first meeting in March 1997, the time had came when I finally bought a ticket to meet her. This was roughly 10-11 months after I had first met Jenifer. Finally the day came when I finally arrived in the USA, January 17th, 1998. I personally felt my heart go haywire, berserk in love for her. And we could not stop looking at each other in the 4 hour drive home from Los Angeles to the Central Coast of California, my new home. In the first few weeks Jenifer showed me around the central coast, we shopped and went out a lot discovering our wonderful friendship. Even at this time, we were not sure we would even be together always, I was only on a holiday visa, permitted only to stay 3 months in the USA. As we grew in love, and her parents witnessing our love for each other, we took the next step...
Jenifer and I were engaged on the 21st February, 1998. Since then, we planned, hoped, re planned and spent time together towards a wedding we hoped would occur in September. I needed to get a job, which I could not do until I got my work permit. Praise God it finally came, and two days later found out God led me into my dream job, such a blessing. Jenifer works part/full time at Lucky Grocery stores. We hope she can return to college after the wedding. Now, some time after our wedding I work for Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, as a Systems Administrator, and I am a Web Designer from home.
We have been blessed with two wonderful boys, terrific friends, giving friends, loving friends. They are like a 24 hour hot-line, always ready to help and give good advice. I thank them all for being there for us.

Well what this site will have is an unbelievable story unfolding how two people separated by half a planet, came together in Christ to wed. Jesus can do anything.
