t’s hard to believe, but yet another Doig boy has hit the 10-mile marker! Anyone who knows Hayden knows he’s confident, a little quirky, full of life—and not a day goes by without him peppering me with questions or passionate little statements. I wouldn't change a thing about this amazing kid. He has such a tender side, and I love how much he looks up to his dad.
To celebrate this big milestone, we pulled together a day that captured everything Hayden loves: energy, fun, a little competition, and a lot of laughs. Alongside my awesome girlfriend Louise Connolly and my good mates Dennis Cu and Nathan Steele (and their kids), we took over one of Sydney’s arcades for a day packed with games, laser tag, bumper cars, and endless excitement.
The kids dove straight into the arcade games, lighting up at every flashing machine and jackpot noise. From racing games to shooting games, it was nonstop action—and a few of the adults might’ve gotten a little competitive too!
The laser tag arena was definitely a highlight. We suited up, armed ourselves, and charged into the neon-lit battlefield. Hayden was in his absolute element, darting between obstacles and planning his moves like a pro. His focus was next-level, and judging by the grins and the fierce "battle faces," everyone had an absolute blast.
After some intense laser skirmishes, we headed for the dodgem cars. There’s just something about bumper cars that brings out the biggest laughs—especially when the kids managed to gang up on the adults! It was pure chaos, in the best possible way.
The day wasn't just about the games, though. It was about celebrating Hayden: his big heart, his love for life, and the incredible boy he’s growing into. Watching him surrounded by friends and family, full of energy and happiness, was the best gift of all.
