Snow!

Snow!

A storm passed through last night, the thunder and lighting was quite spectacular to say the least. And this morning it left a beautiful dumping of snow in the mountains. When you live at 7,000 feet its amazing how suddenly closer you are to the action. My wife and kids were next door hanging out and I was home cooking BBQ chicken and macaroni & cheese. It was only when I was bringing dinner over there that I even realized we were in the middle of a storm. Half way there I realized I was holding a metal fork! Have you ever been in a situation where you suddenly realize that you are doing something potentially stupid or dangerous?

If you were to look out your window on my street last night you would have seen a guy in a shirt, long pyjama pants and thongs (flip flops) carrying two plates of food while it was raining. Too funny.

There are some great images taken from our ski resort this morning. If you’d like to view the live webcam gallery, go here. This is actually the 3rd time the mountains have been covered this early snow season, which is a great sign. As I neared work this morning I started to notice patches of snow on the sides of the road. That got me excited until I checked it out and found it was actually build up of hail pellets. It must have really hailed here last night and early this morning…

Haha… Jenifer said she just wanted to have an easy dinner, they were slivering apples they had picked next door, so being the gourmet cook I am the BBQ Chicken bits and the classic Mac & Cheese sounded wonderful!

Every man can afford it… 😉
